In addition to serving clients, I also mentor clinicians who have completed their graduate studies and are earning their hours towards licensure. I carefully supervise and oversee their work, and clients benefit from working with someone newer to the field who is passionate, has fresh perspectives, and is able to offer a significantly reduced fee.

I currently am excited to mentor and support Alania Salazar, AMFT (#151833), and am also accepting applications for a second associate position opening this summer.

Alania is a bilingual first generation Latina therapist, raised in Santa Barbara. She is passionate about serving marginalized communities, teens and young adults. She is also skilled at working with parents of young children and supporting couples. She uses somatic interventions and parts work to help clients build greater self awareness and increase self-acceptance, and is launching a support group for LGBTQIA+ clients starting late April 2026.
